The front garden as a soft threshold

A front garden does not need to be a defensive strip of lawn. It can make arriving home feel slower, greener and more welcoming.

We think about the sequence from pavement to door: a clear route, a little privacy, a place for deliveries and planting that looks good from both sides of the boundary.

Low planting near the path keeps the entrance friendly. Taller layers can frame a window or soften a wall without turning the front of the house into a hedge.

The smallest front gardens often benefit most from a strong idea: one tree, one material and one generous planting gesture can be enough.
